Description

Forward Deployed Engineering is a level-based program (Associate → Intermediate → Advanced) that follows a client engagement from start to finish. You'll start with what a forward deployed engineer owns and how an engagement runs, then sit beside the people doing the work to find the real problem and turn it into requirements you can test. Next you'll design a solution that fits the client's systems, security and data, build the business case, and present it to executives. The final level applies AI and automation, designs a controlled pilot, plans adoption and handover, and closes with a capstone that brings the whole engagement together.

By the end of this course, you will:

  • Explain what a forward deployed engineer owns and how a client engagement runs.
  • Run client discovery and turn what you observe into requirements you can test.
  • Follow a business process end to end, and put a value and a cost on the problem.
  • Design a solution that fits the client's systems, security and data, and name how it can fail.
  • Build an ROI case, scope and price the work, and present it to executives.
  • Choose when to use AI, measure it on a test set, govern it, and take a pilot through adoption and handover.
